Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Chicago takes place from June 5-7 at Grant Park and across Chicago. Ticket holders receive exclusive gameplay, spawns, raids, and bonuses. Zeraora will make their Pokémon GO debut, along with Shiny Paldean Tauros.

You will only be able to experience the event gameplay within Grant Park during the Park Session time noted on your event ticket.

Zeraora

This year, the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora—the Thunderclap Pokémon—will electrify the event!

Follow the story told by your event-exclusive Special Research and adventure throughout the park, and get ready for your own encounter with Zeraora!

Multiple encounter disclaimer

Trainers will only encounter Zeraora once no matter how many GO Fest 2026 Special Research stories they acquire and complete. If you plan to attend multiple in-person GO Fest 2026 events, the first relevant Special Research story you obtain will award your Zeraora encounter.

Any subsequent GO Fest Special Research you obtain and complete will award you with Zeraora Candy instead of a Zeraora encounter once it is completed.

Mewtwo will return to five-star raids!

Mewtwo, the Genetic Pokémon, is returning to raids during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Chicago. This powerful Pokémon will be the ultimate addition to any battle-ready Trainer’s Pokédex.
Mewtwo will appear in citywide Raid Battles throughout the course of the event.

Take some time to smell the flowers on your adventures!

Comfey will appear at all three in-person GO Fest events! Normally found in Hawaii, the Posy Picker Pokémon is known for its pleasant aroma. Catch a Comfey to support your battle-tested Pokémon.
Comfey will appear in the wild at in-person GO Fest events and throughout the host cities.

Shiny Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros Debut

Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Chicago attendees will be able to encounter Shiny Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky. Each GO Fest will feature a different Paldean Tauros. It can be hard to spot, so be sure to watch out for those sparkles, here are the normal and shiny versions:

Shiny Wash Rotom debuts in Pokémon GO!

Wash Rotom originally made its Pokémon GO debut in 2020, and now lucky Trainers may encounter a Shiny one for the first time at the in-person GO Fest events in 2026.

Special Team Instinct Costume Pikachu Available

A special Costume Pikachu will only be available at GO Fest 2026: Chicago! Each in-person GO Fest will feature a different version of Costume Pikachu. Chicago is a Team Instinct themed Pikachu!

Massive Mystery Raid Battle

Conclude your Park session with a massive multi-thousand Trainer Raid to battle an exclusive Pokémon! A group photo will take place at each climactic Raid to commemorate this exciting moment. You never know who just might make an appearance…

Zones

Four skill-based Zones throughout the host Park for Trainers to explore, complete Research, and become the very best. Trainers will receive a new Timed Research each hour based on which Zone they are in.

• Team Leaders will show off the best parts of their teams in the Recruitment Zone. Trainers can complete Raids, learn more about each Team, and put their PvP skills to the test at the Battle Ground.
• Explore through the Conservatory Zone to encounter a variety of Pokémon species. Pokémon from across your Pokémon GO Pokédex might appear.
• In the Cultivation Zone, you can learn about Pokémon through special event-themed Field Research, special event-themed Eggs and increased incubator effectiveness.
• Team GO Rocket’s Hideout has been discovered! Battle Team GO Rocket and take on Shadow Raids to reclaim Pokémon GO Fest for Spark and Team Instinct.

Event-themed Pokémon will appear in the park during the event. Outside of Grant Park, trainers playing throughout the city during their ticketed hours (including those with city-wide gameplay) can encounter featured event Pokémon from the park.

How to Buy Tickets for Pokémon GO Fest Chicago 2026

Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Chicago attendees may purchase a ticket for one day of the three-day event. One-day tickets are $33.00 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available for purchase here. Trainers who purchase a ticket will split their day between exploring Grant Park and adventuring throughout Chicago, enjoying special exclusive event gameplay during both parts of the day.

The experience for both the Grant Park and throughout Chicao are the same—the only difference is the time of day Trainers are at each location.

Park Experience

You can choose to buy tickets for any of the days—June 5 (Friday), June 6 (Saturday), or June 7 (Sunday), available in two time slots

• Morning Park Experience (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET):With this Morning Park Experience ticket, you’ll spend the first part of your day within Grant Park before venturing into Chicago for a second event-exclusive gameplay experience.
• Afternoon Park Experience (2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET):With this Afternoon Park Experience ticket, you’ll spend the first part of your day enjoying event-exclusive gameplay throughout Chicago before heading to Grant Park to finish off your event day.

You will see “Tickets Available” next to the event listing if it hasn’t sold out yet. Event gameplay will be available only at the date, time, and location specified on your ticket. It will not be possible to participate in this event without an event ticket.

Premier Access

Chicago 2026 in-person GO Fest events will offer the Premier Access add-on, available for $100.00. This add-on includes the following:

• Expedited entry to the Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store
• Entry to the Premier Access lounge, which features upgraded restrooms, portable charger kiosks with lockers, and seating.
• An exclusive collectible item available for in-person pickup at your park session.

Premier Access Voucher Codes

Trainers will also obtain voucher codes for in-game items. The codes will be sent via email no later than Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The items included are:

The Premier Access add-on will only be active during the park session listed on a Trainer’s event ticket. A limited number of Premier Access add-ons may be available until 9:00 a.m. local time each event day, while supplies last.

Please note that the voucher codes will expire on December 31, 2026, at 23:59 UTC. City Explorer ticket holders cannot purchase the Premier Access add-on.
