Pokémon 30th Anniversary: GO Pass
Celebrate 30 years of Pokémon with the Pokémon 30th Anniversary event! Taking place from Tuesday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 9, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time we return to the Kanto region with a special GO Pass, raids and more!
A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards.
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Pokémon 30th Anniversary on Tuesday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Monday, March 9, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Additionally, from Saturday, March 7, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, March 9, at 7:59 p.m. local time, there’s no daily limit for how many GO Points you can earn.
For US$7.99 or your countries equivalent, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of the GO Pass that offers upgraded rewards and faster progression.
For US$9.9 or your countries equivalent, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks to also automatically earn enough GO Points to reach Rank 11.
While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.
Note on GO Pass Rewards
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Sunday, March 15, at 7:59 p.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone.
Complete Pass Tasks to rank up your GO Pass to earn the following rewards:
- Encounter with Mewtwo
- Encounters with Pokémon first discovered in the Kanto region
- Candy
Trainers who upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe can also earn the following rewards:
- Mewtwo Candy XL
- Additional encounters with even more Pokémon first discovered in the Kanto region, including Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres
- Rare Candy
- And more

You may encounter any Pokémon first discovered in the Kanto region (except for Mewtwo and Mew) based on their natural habitat!

Pokémon such as Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros will continue to appear only in certain regions of the world.

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Complete field research tasks to earn Rare Candy, a Silver Pinap Berry, a Golden Razz Berry, or the following Pokémon:
The GO Pass Deluxe, the paid version of the GO Pass, will be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store soon. Your GO Pass Deluxe purchased via the Pokémon GO Web Store will activate as soon as the GO Pass begins.
Trainers who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: Pokémon 30th Anniversary or GO Pass Deluxe: Pokémon 30th Anniversary + 10 Ranks on the Pokémon GO Web Store will receive 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions as a gift with purchase.
Purchase the web-exclusive GO Pass Deluxe: Pokémon 30th Anniversary + 10 Ranks Ultra Box for an additional 20 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, 10 Max Potions, two Premium Battles Passes, one Incubator, and one Super Incubator as a gift with purchase.
