Choose Your Path: Fossil Fun is a special Timed Research in Pokémon GO, available from Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time until Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

This is part of the Forever Forward Season’s Choose Your Path Timed Research series, which gives Trainers a way to customize their gameplay during quieter, non-event weeks.

For Fossil Fun, Trainers will be asked to choose one research path. Depending on which test group your account is placed in, you may see either 3 or 6 different path options. Once you choose a branch, your decision is final and you cannot switch to another path.

Before starting the actual branched choice, you will have to complete this super easy step:

If you receive the Weekly version of the Choose Your Path Timed Research, you will be able to pick between 3 choices, but your Research will last until end of week. The paths you can chose from are:

Some Trainers may be able to pick a different path bonus each day. Each daily choice grants its own set if Timed Research that expires at the end of the day. The paths you can chose from are:
