Shadow Groudon features in Pokémon GO during a special Shadow Raid Day event on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and Sunday, September 21, 2025. Trainers can look forward to Shadow Groudon in Shadow Raids for the first time, with the potential to be shiny, and one extra free raid pass per day during event hours.

Trainers will receive one additional Raid Pass from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms each day during the event hours.

This is a tricky fight, and Groudon is weak to Grass, Ice, and Water types. Shadow Kyogre can be caught from 2188 CP to 2351 CP, with no weather boost, and from 2736 CP to 2939 CP with Sunny weather boost
