Pressure Rising Special Research: Volcanion Global Release
Volcanion has finally received its worldwide release in Pokémon GO! After debuting in GO Fest 2025 Global for ticket holders, this popular Mythical Pokémon can be caught through a Special Research Story, starting on March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Note that completing the Glitz and Glam Special Research is a necessity to take on the Volcanion Story.
Moreover, trainers who completed the GO Fest 2025 exclusive Special Research and already have a Volcanion will receive Volcanion Candy from the Pressure Rising Special Research.

About Volcanion
Volcanion is a Fire and Water type Mythical Pokémon. It is weak to Electric, Ground, and Rock type moves, and takes reduced damage from Fire, Ice, Steel, Bug, and Fairy type moves.
Volcanion’s best moveset is Incinerate and Overheat. It is weather boosted by Sunny and Rainy weather, and it was originally found in the Kalos region.
