Pokémon GO Events This Week: January 19 to January 25, 2026
Pokémon GO’s January 19 to January 25 week has us well into the season of Precious Paths! Hunt for shiny Fidough during Precious Pals, battle Team GO Rocket during their Take Over, and grind for Shadow Raikou during a dedicated raid day!
Plus the weekly rotating Spotlight and Raid Hours, Dynamax Battles and Mega Raids.
Highlights
- Raid Boss Change (January 25): Incarnate Tornadus and Mega Ampharos return to the raid pool.
- Max Monday (January 19): Dynamax Beldum is featured in Max Battles from 6 PM to 7 PM.
- Spotlight Hour (January 20): Hatenna is featured with 2x candy for transferring Pokémon
- Raid Hour (January 21): Incarnate Thundurus is featured in Five-Star Raids from 6 PM to 7 PM.
- Precious Pals (January 20-25): Shiny Fidough debuts, with boosted shiny odds for Fidough and Goldeen
- Precious Pals: Taken Over (January 23-25): Shadow Incarnate Forme Thundurus debuts, with leaders and grunts having new Shadow Pokémon
- Shadow Raikou Raid Day (January 24): Shadow Raikou in Shadow Raids, with the potential to be shiny (with boosted odds!), and up to five additional free raid passes for the day
Weekly Pokémon GO Schedule
Max Monday: Dynamax Beldum
On Monday, January 19th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Dynamax Beldum will appear in Max Battles! Dynamax Beldum will continue to appear from January 19 to 25 in Max Battles.
Spotlight Hour: Hatenna
2x Transfer Candy
On Tuesday, January 20th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Hatenna will be the featured Pokémon for Spotlight Hour, along with 2× candy for transferring Pokémon.
Raid Hour: Incarnate Forme Thundurus
On Wednesday, January 21st, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Incarnate Forme Thundurus will be the featured Pokémon for Raid Hour!

Precious Pals
The Precious Pals event looks set to be a week of adventure with your Buddy! Enjoy the debut of shiny Fidough, boosted shiny odds for Fidough and Goldeen, limited time evolution requirements and more! Taking place from January 20th at 10:00 until January 25th 8:00pm local time.
Precious Pals: Taken Over
Precious Pals: Taken Over is the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover event that runs from Friday, January 23, at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
During that time, Trainers will have the opportunity to remove Frustration, save Shadow Incarnate Forme Thundurus, and face Rocket Grunts and Rocket Leaders who are using new Shadow Pokémon!
Shadow Raikou Raid Day
Shadow Raikou features in Pokémon GO during a special Shadow Raid Day event on Saturday, January 2024, 2026. Trainers can look forward to Shadow Raikou in Shadow Raids, with the potential to be shiny (with boosted odds!), and up to five additional free raid passes for the day

GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
Pokémon GO’s January 2026 GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe feature exclusive rewards, including an encounter with Dialga, XP and Stardust bonuses, and the return of the Lucky Trinket! Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: January on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m

GO Battle League: Precious Paths begins Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).
