Pokémon GO Events This Week: 4 – 10 May 2026
Pokémon GO’s May 4-10 week sees us enter the final month of the season of Memories in Motion! Hunt for the cutest pink piggies with Lechonk Community Day, keep battling Team GO Rocket with Steeled Resolve, and more!
Plus the weekly rotating Raid Hours, Dynamax Battles and Mega Raids.
Highlights
- Raid Boss Change (May 6): Nihilego and Mega Camerupt return to the raid pool.
- Max Monday (April 27): Dynamax Cottonee is featured in Max Battles from 6 PM to 7 PM.
- Raid Hour (April 29): Nihilego is featured in Five-Star Raids from 6 PM to 7 PM.
- Steeled Resolve (April 28-May 4): Orthworm debut, and it can be shiny, plus decreased time for Meltan Mystery Box cooldown
- Steeled Resolve: Taken Over (April 30 – May 4): Shiny Varoom release, Shadow Incarnate Landorus debut, and more new Shadow Pokémon
- Lechonk Community Day (May 9): Lechonk features for Community Day, with boosted shiny odds!
Weekly Pokémon GO Schedule
Max Monday: Dynamax Cottonee
On Monday, May 4th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Dynamax Cottonee will appear in Max Battles! Dynamax Cottonee will continue to appear from May 4 to May 10 in Max Battles.
Raid Hour: Nihilego
On Wednesday, May 6th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Nihilego will be the featured Pokémon for Raid Hour!

Events in Pokémon GO This Week
Steeled Resolve
Steel your resolve trainers! The Steeled Resolve event takes place from Tuesday, April 28, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, May 4, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event features the debut of Orthworm, and it can be shiny! Plus, the time you have to wait before you can open the Mystery Box again will be reduced during this event.
Steeled Resolve: Taken Over
Steeled Resolve: Taken Over is the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover event that runs from Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, May 4, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
During that time, Trainers will have the opportunity to remove Frustration, save Shadow Incarnate Forme Landorus, and face Rocket Grunts and Rocket Leaders who are using new Shadow Pokémon. For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to hatch Shiny Varoom from 12 km egg!
Lechonk Community Day
May Community Day of 2026 stars Lechonk, the Hog Pokémon! Join the event on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time to enjoy 2x catch Candy, increased Lechonk spawns, and a chance to encounter Shiny Lechonk.
Evolve Lechonk during the event—or up to four hours afterwards—to obtain Oinkologne with the exclusive Fast Attack Mud-Slap [ground].

Five-Star Raids
From April 29 to May 5, Tapu Lele will appear in Five-Star Raids.

Shadow Raids
One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Cresselia will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Memories in Motion! You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Cresselia—if you’re lucky!
GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
Pokémon GO’s May 2026 GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe feature exclusive rewards, including an encounter with Suicune, XP and Stardust bonuses, and PokéCoin rewards!
Trainers can earn GO Points by completing Pass Tasks, unlock milestone rewards through ranking up, and access premium items by upgrading to the Deluxe version via the Pokémon GO Web Store.
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: May on Saturday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
GO Battle League Season 26
GO Battle League: Memories in Motion begins Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PST GMT −8.
At the start of the Season:
End of Season rewards become available on the Battle screen.
Your GO Battle League rank will reset.
The number of wins required to advance from Rank 19 to Rank 20 returns to 20.
All other rank up requirements remain unchanged.

Get ready for Pokémon GO’s Memories in Motion Season! Running from March 3, 2026, to June 2, 2026, this incredible season focuses on new Daily Discovery experiences, shiny evolved Pokémon in the wild, new shiny Shadow Pokémon, boosted shiny odds for hatching eggs and in raid encounters and more!
