Tinkaton with Gigaton Hammer: PvE Performance & Raid Use Explained

Welcome Trainers! April 2026 Community Day is upon us with the Metalsmith Pokémon: Tinkatink being the featured Pokémon. Evolve Tinkatuff (Tinkatink’s evolution) during the event or up to four hours afterwards to get a Tinkaton that knows the Charged Attack Gigaton Hammer. Let’s dig into Tinkaton’s PvE role and see where it fits in the meta!

Tinakton, introduced in Generation 9 with the release of Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet, is a dual Fairy Steel type Pokémon with a distinctive hammer-themed design. Its dual typing lends it an impressive 11 different resistances which also include a double resistance to Bug and a triple resistance to Dragon, which gives it a very strong defensive profile.

One look at Tinkaton’s stats and the first thing anyone will notice is that low Attack stat of 155 and low max CP of 2544. For PvE scenarios, that is certainly not impressive. And yes, before its Community Day, Tinkaton was barely standing anywhere in the PvE meta. However, with Gigaton Hammer, a massive Charged Attack with 300 power, things have taken a turn towards good for Tinkaton. Let us use our trusted DPS Comparer Tool.

For a Pokémon with just 155 Attack Stat, this performance is beyond impressive. Gigaton Hammer has really forged Tinkaton into relevance among top Steel attackers. Trainers, Tinkatink’s Community Day is really a very good opportunity to grind some XL candies and grab a high IV Tinkatink and evolve it into Tinkaton with Gigaton Hammer.

Just to put into prespective how much Gigaton Hammer improves Tinkaton’s performance, here is a comparison of Tinkaton with and without its Community Day Move.

Some improvement that! With Gigaton Hammer, Tinkaton’s DPS outputs jumps almost twofold. Even if you want to run Tinkaton as a Fairy raid attacker, Gigaton Hammer still remains the preferred Charged Attack. However, there are much better Fairy attackers in the game. It is best to use Tinkaton only as a Steel raid attacker.

Another area where Tinkaton really shines, as my fellow Go Hub colleague, MeteorAsh15 pointed out, is Party Play. If Party Play is active, Tinkaton’s performance improves even further thanks to Party Power bonus for raids. It can also potentially get Metal Claw in a future move update which will certainly further improve its standing.

That’s it Trainers! A relatively shorter analysis. Having said that, Tinkaton’s journey from a quirky hammer-wielding Pokémon to a legitimate Steel raid threat is quite the turnaround. It may not hit as hard as the heavyweights in raw numbers, but Gigaton Hammer gives it the punch it always needed to make a name for itself. Whether you’re chasing shinies, XL candies, or looking for a well-rounded Steel attacker for your roster, don’t sleep on this Community Day. Sometimes all it takes is one signature move to turn a Pokémon from overlooked to overpowered — and for Tinkaton, Gigaton Hammer is exactly that.

Bulk up with Tinkaton’s iron might—Gigaton Blows own the fight all night!

Let us know Trainers! Do you like Tinkaton’s design? Which other Fairy or Steel Pokémon is your favorite?

And as always, Stay Safe! Happy Community Day! May everyone get a SHUNDO!!!
