New Nintendo Switch 2 Game Announced: Pokémon Pokopia!
The highly-anticipated 1-hour long Nintendo Direct on September 12, 2025, threw in plenty of surprises for the Pokémon community. Aside from the reveal of new Mega Evolutions for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, fans were pleasantly surprised to see a new game announced: Pokémon Pokopia!
This spectacular new Pokémon Pokopia game lets you play as a Ditto transformed into a human (with the iconic Ditto eyes), aiming to shape an empty land into a lush, serene, and comfortable home for Pokémon you meet along the way.
As a Ditto, you’ll be able to learn all sorts of moves from your Pokémon friends and use them to build a thriving community for all!
Keen-eyed players would note that this game is essentially a Pokémon-based Animal Crossing, the hit simulation video game series that captivated people worldwide. Regardless of whether you played Animal Crossing or not, you can take in the fun and frolic through Pokémon Pokopia.
The trailer reveals a bunch of Pokémon, including a lot of fan favourites, and we expect to see many more in your adventures. Psyduck, Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Combee, Pidgey, Timburr, Scyther, Diglett, Goomy, Ludicolo, Lotad, Castform, Paldean Wooper, Poliwag, and more are all seen in the trailer!
