Regieleki Raid Guide: Best Counters & Duo Strategy (June 2025)

Regieleki
Regieleki is a Tier 5 Raid boss with a CP of 38402 in Pokémon GO, which was formerly an Elite Raid Boss available only during Elite Raid weekends. Type-wise, Regieleki is a pure Electric type Pokémon with a single vulnerability to Ground-type Attacks. Shiny Regieleki is available.
Regieleki 100% IV Catch CP is 1602 CP non-weather boosted, and 2002 CP Rainy weather boosted. Regieleki can be caught in the following Combat Power range:
- 1524 CP – 1602 CP (no weather boost, LVL 20)
- 1905 CP – 2002 CP (during rainy weather, LVL 25)
In this guide, we will cover the best Regieleki counters, go over its stats and moves, and demonstrate how to perform a Regieleki duo Raid. We recommend fighting Regieleki with a minimum of 2 Trainers with perfect counters, or 4+ Trainers with suboptimal counters.
Best Regieleki Counters
Regieleki is only weak to Ground-type attacks, which directly impacts the choice of counters. Here are the best counters for Regieleki in Pokémon GO:

The list is topped by strong Ground-attackers, which is quite expected. Groudon, Rhyperior, Garchomp, Excadrill, and Landorus are by far the best Pokémon to defeat Regieleki.
There are some additional high DPS generalists which you can use that are not on this list, like Dawn Wings Necrozma and Mega Rayquaza, but they perform worse than the Pokémon listed here. You really need Ground-types for this fight!
Regieleki Duo Strategy
In general, Regieleki is not a difficult fight, and a Regieleki duo is relatively easy to do.
- Regieleki Duos are easy, but you still need to bring strong Level 40+ counters, optimally Level 50 Pokémon
- Primal Groudon is your main pick, followed by Shadow Groudon, Shadow Garchomp, Shadow Excadrill
- Lock On / Hyper Beam is the most difficult moveset
- Sunny weather is the best weather for a Regieleki duo attempt, Partly Cloudy is the worst as it boost Normal type attacks

*Denotes a Legacy Move.
Regieleki’s move pool only contains Normal and Electric type moves, neither of which should trouble your Ground types. Neither will gain STAB against your typical Ground types, just be careful with the recommended Mega Pokémon that have a dual type, as the Electric moves will hit them hard.
The most difficult moveset is probably Lock-On and Hyper Beam / Thunder Cage, due to high energy generation by Lock-On and the lack of damage reduction when Regieleki uses Hyper Beam. Thunder Cage is pretty hard hitting move, but Ground-types still take reduced damage from it, leaving Hyper Beam to be a touch more difficult.
Shiny Regieleki comparison
Compared to the normal version, Shiny Regieleki drops the blue details in favour of whie rings around its waist and shoulder are. It’s an interesting shiny for sure, but it is not immediately obvious like some other shiny recolors.
The shiny rate for a Legendary Pokémon in a Tier 5 raid is approximately 1 in 20. Good luck!
