Pokémon GO Serene Retreat Event Guide
During Pokémon GO Fest: Osaka, Japan, a global, free-to-play, event called Serene Retreat will take place. Serene Retreat brings an increased chance to encounter Shiny Munna and Shiny Morelull, but also the debut of Gigantamax Rillaboom!

Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600 -

Trainers with a Serene Retreat ticket will also receive the following bonus for the duration of the event:

Good for Raids
Not much for Raiders during this event. Most Pokémon featured during the event are useful only in Trainer Battles.
Good for PvP
- Azumarill is an excellent, well ranked, and well rounded staple for the Great League, and we strongly recommend farming Marill candy if you need it. Although Candy XL is not strictly required, it is strongly recommended. Marill is available in Wild Encounters.
Collection Challenge
Complete event-themed Collection Challenges to receive reward encounters and more!
Field Research
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
Paid Timed Research
Timed Research will also be available for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). This Timed Research will give Trainers tasks focused on exploration and
catching Pokémon. It will reward the following:
- Encounters with Munna
- Encounters with Morelull
- Two Super Incubators
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

The Serene Retreat Ultra Ticket Box will be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) starting May 27, 2025, at
10:00 a.m. PDT. It includes an event ticket plus five Ultra Balls at no additional cost.
